Market and Data Analyst

Role
A small to medium sized news, events, intelligence and creative agency based in the heart of Clapham is currently seeking to recruit a Market and Data Analyst for their small but growing Intelligence team. The successful candidate will be working on bespoke client research projects of various sizes and the production of reports, including contributing to print and digital publications, by providing key analytical insights and visual representations of numerous data sets.

Responsibilities

  • Extract and analyse information from various data sources

  • Understand client needs, aims and manage their expectations

  • Work collaboratively in teams to produce data, find insights and write reports

  • Investigate and employ various research techniques for the production of client reports

  • Quickly learn and effectively manage various sheets of data

  • Investigate new market trends in the industry

  • Gather data for in-house teams when requested

Essential skills and experience
  • Degree educated in business, mathematics, economics or similar fields

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Experience in working with clients and delivering projects on time

  • Ability to analyse, interpret and identify trends from various data sets (structured and unstructured data)

  • High level of experience and proficiency using Excel (including vlookup, sumifs formulas and creating dashboards)

  • Excellent working knowledge of other Microsoft packages (including Word and PowerPoint)

  • Strong report writing skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Positive, lively can-do attitude. A quick learner who direct energy and efforts to take action and get things done

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • An understanding of SQL would be beneficial, but not essential
